THE ROLE

What you will do

Prepare espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, specialty beverages, and other menu items according to approved recipes and standards.
Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other bar equipment safely and correctly.
Accurately measure ingredients and follow drink recipes, serving sizes, and presentation standards.
Maintain consistency in taste, temperature, texture, and appearance of every beverage.
Take customer orders, operate the POS system, and process payments accurately.
Greet customers, answer menu questions, and recommend beverages based on their preferences.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar and service area.
Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, and other bar supplies.
Monitor product quality, freshness, and stock levels and report shortages or wastage.
Follow food-safety, hygiene, cleaning, and equipment-maintenance procedures.
Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and other daily operational duties.
Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications

  • At least a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a café, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Able to follow recipes, measurements, and operating procedures accurately.
  • Reliable, punctual, organized, and attentive to detail.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers and working as part of a team.
  • Willing to learn Rovers' coffee, beverage, and service standards.
  • Open to receiving feedback and continuous training.
  • Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing regular café duties.
AN ADVANTAGE

Nice to have

  • Previous experience as a barista or café crew member.
  • Familiarity with espresso preparation, milk steaming, latte art, and coffee brewing methods.
  • Basic knowledge of coffee beans, roast profiles, and beverage preparation.
  • Experience using espresso machines, grinders, and POS systems.
  • Food-safety, sanitation, or barista training certification.
  • Experience working in a specialty coffee or high-volume café environment.
  • Interest in coffee, hospitality, customer experience, and continuous skill development.
